    SDC Featured on News Outlets for Orion Launch

    Updated San Diego, CA,  March 27, 2015 - San Diego, CA, December 5, 2014 - San Diego Composites, Inc. (SDC) has been featured on several media outlets for our contribution in the successful Orion Spacecraft launch that occurred at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on December 5, 2014 at 7:05am EST. SDC has delivered over 1000 parts for the Orion program and attended the launch.

    December 3, 2014: ABC 10 News met with SDC Chief Technology Officer Ken Mercer at our San Diego facility to discuss SDC's role in this historic event (video courtesy ABC 10 News).

    December 4, 2014: KPBS spoke to SDC's Chief Technology Officer before he traveled to Florida for the Orion Spacecraft Launch. The linke below is for the written article.     December 5, 2014: SDC was featured on CBS News following Friday's successful Orion Spacecraft launch. CBS 8 News toured SDC's facility and spoke to SDC's Vice President and a Team Orion Engineer about how we manufactured over 1000 parts for Orion and what this means for the future of manned flight in deep space.

    March 27, 2015: "Journey to Space" Explores Orion Spacecraft's San Diego Roots " - Miramar-based company San Diego Composites made some major contributions to the Orion spacecraft that will one day visit Mars. Those details are featured in the new film, "Journey to Space," debuting on March 27 at the Ruben H. Fleet Science Center.
