SDC Moves To Production Headquarters
San Diego, CA, April 21, 2014 - San Diego Composites, Inc. (SDC) moved into its new Headquarters, a 70,000 square feet state-of-the-art production facility in San Diego, CA, doubling their previous square footage. "This new facility greatly expands the capabilities of SDC to work large scale production programs and large scale hardware for the aerospace, defense and composites community," said SDC's President, Robert Kolozs.
SDC's Production Headquarters features:
- 37,000 square feet of Production Space
- 6,300 square feet of Clean Rooms
- 6,000 square feet of Machine Shop
- 1,800 square feet of Testing Equipment
- 10,000 square feet of Engineering Office Space
- 1,500 square feet Conference Center
This expansion benefits SDC's current and future production programs and growing Product Areas in aerospace and defense and allows for the manufacturing of thousands of parts per year. SDC's facilities focus on the production of hardware for missiles, canisters space structures and aircraft. The facility features dedicated production cells and incorporates a Lean Manufacturing layout.
